The Derby Reiki Share Group was established in 2012 and originally only met once a month in person. In March 2020, due to changing needs in the pandemic, the group evolved into a weekly distance share.

Derby Reiki Share Group has always welcomed Reiki practitioners from any lineage and any stage of Reiki training. Giving and receiving Reiki is such a nurturing and nourishing experience, and a Reiki share group offers the space for us all to take some time out.

Here are some of my thoughts on why the distance share is potentially so powerful.
The heart is the largest electromagnetic generator within the human body. When we meditate or do Reiki healing, the field of love, light and healing generated from the heart is magnified. Each person’s heart’s field can amplify from about a metre up to 17 metres around the body. When we come together as a group, this field is amplified even more. This sends out a healing field to the surrounding area. So the whole neighbourhood is incorporated in the healing field we generate. When we are located in a wider geographical area, whilst collectively meditating/sending reiki healing, this field of energy is amplified yet again. This group has participants around the world now, including South America. So, although we are taking much needed time to nurture ourselves and each other in a share, we are also creating a healing web of light for the earth. It is such a privilege to share in this way and to be in service for the greater whole.

The group has developed a very special, healing space over the years.  To help maintain the ethos of open to all and the quality of the healing space, new and existing attendees are asked to observe the following guidelines.
